Call For Entries: 15th Annual Austin Film Festival

The Austin Film Festival is happy to announce it is open for entries for the 2008 festival. Last year AFF screened over 175 films and looks to keep growing this year! Past attendees of the festival have included Oliver Stone, Robert Altman, Wes Anderson, Barry Levinson, Harold Ramis, John Milius, Jason Reitman, Terry George, Diablo Cody, Eric Roth, Christopher McQuarrie and many more.

Film screen in a variety of sections and in six competitive categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Narrative Student Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Animated Short. Past judges have included filmmakers and representatives from Paramount Classics, Film Threat, IFilm, Atom Films, Wholphin DVD, MGM, Dreamworks, Adult Swim, Magnolia Pictures, International Documentary Association, GQ Magazine and New Line Cinema.

The early deadline is June 5th and the late deadline is July 5th. Submit your film today!

Hey, BloodRayne 2: Deliverance just came out. I heard about this film from another intern at umgd and its got a lot of action and fight scenes. Great film called Wondrous Oblivion that just got released to dvd. Anyone see it in theatres? You may know this is based on the story of Chris Gardner...who goes
from being ok to very very poor to bottom out, but never gives up,
keeps a positive attitude and who finally succeeds. It is a very
stressful film if you have had humble beginnings. What I really liked
is it is based on what appears to be a great American story indeed.
The toughness of life at the bottom and a man’s passion to better ones

My favorites are The Fight Club, Bronx Tale, Great Expectations, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Delicatessen, I also collect most foreign and action movies, what about you?
