These thermostats allows you to
retrieve text messages sent from the serial network to the thermostat.
The message screen features navigation buttons to read new and old
messages and delete them. Up to 16 date/time-stamped messages (80
characters max.) can be stored in the thermostat. If more than 16
messages are received, the oldest is erased to make room for the newest
message.

A communications "language"
that allows compatible products to talk to each other. X10 technology
can be implemented by using the existing electrical wiring in the home.
